Meet the Founders

Ashley Mootispaw

Meet Ashley, a wife, mom of two, and licensed EMT (Emergency Medical Services) through UC. Juggling multiple businesses with ease and over 8 years of educational training as an Herbalist, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for holistic living to our community. Her love for learning is insatiable, and she's passing that yearning for knowledge on to her kids. At Wild Roots, Ashley's all about nurturing curiosity and creating a friendly, welcoming space for families to grow together.

Kiersten Beatty

Meet Kiersten, a wife, mom of two, and a 2019 graduate of UC with a bachelor's degree in Communications Marketing. Juggling household responsibilities and managing two businesses, Kiersten discovered her passion for being actively involved in her children's education. With a deep love for holistic and healthy living and a strong connection to nature, joining this venture was a natural choice for her. As a mom who cherishes both holistic principles and outdoor adventures, Kiersten is thrilled to be part of this journey!

At Wild Roots Homeschool Co-Op, we're passionate about providing homeschool families with enriching educational experiences. Our co-op offers a special mix of holistic, homesteading, nature-based, and Montessori-inspired learning tailored specifically for students in 5th grade and below. Our goals are centered around providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment for homeschooled families. We aim to foster holistic development and promote life-long learning and skills within our enrolled kids and families.

Both Ashley and Kiersten are products of the public school system, but their journey led them to recognize a profound need for holistic and nature-based education in today's world. Their personal experiences inspired them to create a space where children could thrive through a more organic approach to learning. With their shared passion and dedication, they established Wild Roots to provide homeschool families with a refreshing alternative that nurtures a deep connection to nature and holistic learning methods.
